2022I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.
YesI wanted to earn my degree because:
I wanted to earn my degree for many reason. The most important reason was that I wanted to make my family proud and be proud of myself. I also wanted to earn a degree because I don't just want another job, I wanted a career. Three Rivers has allowed me to start this important journey.
While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:
My greatest supporter while earning my degree was my family, especially my mom, dad, and husband. I also received such generous and unexpectedly great support from my co-workers, managers, friends, staff, and fellow students.
I’d like to give a shout out to:
My shout outs go to my mom, who has always supported and cheered me on. To my husband, who was always here for me when I needed that extra shoulder during finals and midterms. To my advisor Kevin Amenta, who has helped me become more of myself and guiding me to do great work that I did not even know I was capable of.
What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:
What I liked most about my Graphic Design program is that it allowed me to be creative while learning skills that will help me make my career. It did not feel like school at times because I was enjoying what I was doing. What it means to me is that I know I am on the right track to being who I want to be and doing what I am supposed to do.
What I liked best about my Liberal Arts & Sciences program is that it helped me to stay on track with the completion of my general education classes. I would not be in such a good position to transfer if it was not for the program requiring me to take the general education courses that I normally would not want to take.
What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:
What I enjoyed most about all of my time at Three Rivers Community College is that it is just that - a community. The staff was supportive and knowledgeable. The faculty always wanted what was best for you, even if it might seem inconvenient for them (they never showed it). The other students always seem to be willing to help each other out.

I plan to use my degree to:
I plan to use my degree as the base of my education as I go on to the University and complete my next degree. My overall plan is to move in to the advertising and marketing field. I would love to create designs and advertisements that make people think and go "WOW!"
Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:
MORE COLLEGE! I am looking forward to learning more about my field. I am especially looking forward to taking a typography class at the University I go to.
What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:
I will mostly miss the experience that I gained by going through the Graphic Design program and being a teaching assistant. Being able to use the knowledge that I have gained from such a wonderful program and helping others in their journey has meant a lot to me and will be greatly missed.
