I wanted to earn my degree because:

I wanted to earn my degree because I want to be the change seen in the police force. I want to be the officer or one day, lawyer, that people want to have and be around. I do not want people to fear us when we are supposed to protect. I am motivated to be this change, which is why I pursued what I did!

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My greatest supporters were my family in America and my family overseas. They have motivated me more than ever before.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

I'd like to give a shout out to Professor/ as well as Advisor, Jeffrey Nixon. I have been to school for many years although I have not received the support and the motivation from such a well taught, and well rounded professor like him. Jeffrey Nixon puts the students' thoughts, emotions and feelings into perspective, he allows us to make mistakes but assess us on the way and in the correct way. Throughout my toughest times here at Three Rivers, Nixon was a great professor and advisor, not because he knew me from the previous semesters, but because he treated me (and others) as real people. Not just names in his grade book.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

What I like best about my degree program is that we are stating an oath to help and protect all people. This means to me, that people rely on us, will be needing our help. It is up to us to be that change and give people the help they need.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

At Three Rivers Community College I enjoyed the connections I made the most. These connections started with my fellow classmates in person prior to Covid, although when we got transferred into LRON and online classes it was as if nothing changed in that aspect.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan on using my degree to work with the government. I plan on attending Central Connecticut State University and getting a bachelors degree in Political Science with a specialization in Legal Studies to further my career options.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Seeing where life now takes me! Life is full of opportunities, and I am excited to see how far I get.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

The help and guidance from my professors and the faculty/ staff. I also want to give a huge shoutout also to Jodi Osborn for assisting me during tough times, as well as my family for the motivation and constant support.
