So proud of you and happy to call you a student and a friend! You evolved as a creative individual right before our eyes, mastering everything we threw at you with a calm, cool determination that sets you apart from the rest. There are two things that I know to be true in life: you are one of the nicest individuals I have ever had the pleasure to know…and…you will always be older than me! Graphic Design, A.S.

Current Residence :

Lisbon

Degree/Certificate:

Graphic Design, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2020

I wanted to earn my degree because:

I was a stay-at-home Mom for over two decades and it was time for me to do something for the next step of my life. This is my second associate degree from TRCC. One month prior to graduating in 2015, God clunked me on the head and told me I was supposed to be a photojournalist, so I started that following Fall to get my associate in Graphic Design.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband, Bill, children, Kelsey, Jason, Billy and Savannah and granddaughters, Kaity and Kiara. In addition, my dad, sister and best friend, Heather. My professors and teachers were a great support that allowed me to go above and beyond my own expectations.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

For all your support, to my family, I thank and love you Bill, Kelsey, Jason, Billy, Savannah, Kaity and Kiara! To my Dad, thanks for watching me grow! To my bestie, Heather Colletti, thanks for pushing me to go to college when I thought I couldn't do it!

I'd also like to tip my cap to Kevin Amenta, Irene Clampet and Peter Patsouris for rocking it as my teachers!!!

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

Wanting to be a Photojournalist, Graphic Design was the only avenue for me to take. What I liked, was that even though I was not going to have a future in Graphic Design, it still gave me the tools to succeed in my own path.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

The willingness of the whole staff made attending a delight. My teachers were always willing to give of their time to ensure I fully understood what I needed to do to be successful.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

Phi Theta Kappa

I plan to use my degree to:

To make others happy with the gifts God gave me. Behind every photo is a story. I plan on using my degree to tell those stories.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Putting my knowledge to work. There are places for me to go to tell a story about. My camera is packed and I'm ready to go.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

The interaction with the students in my classes. Many of my classmates, no matter the age, called me Mama Moss and I loved being the "mom" of the class.
