I wanted to earn my degree because:

To gain knowledge that is applicable to practice in the medical field. Gaining knowledge and expertise to advance to my highest potential.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband and sons. My classmates who were amazing and encouraging. The good fortune to have excellent instructors and educators with me every step of the way

I’d like to give a shout out to:

My husband, Ralph, for putting up with me throughout this experience. My children who were kind enough to understand when I was tied up. Emily who helped me when I was sick. Jasmine, Kate, Taylor, Carmen for all of your support.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

Loved the clinical aspect of earning my degree. Love putting what I am learning into action.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

All of the support academically. The expertise in working with older adults returning to the educational atmosphere, and the encouragement and help with technological issues that the older student may struggle with

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

Earned Phi Theta Kappa membership

I plan to use my degree to:

Further my career as an Emergency Room nurse and to give those under my care the best possible experience in this uncertain dynamic environment.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Furthering my education to the maximum degree available to me

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

All of the support and accepting student body. The atmosphere is conducive to learning.
