Degree/Certificate:

Liberal Arts and Sciences, A.A.

Year of Graduation:

2021

I wanted to earn my degree because:

I need it to transfer to UConn so I can continue my studies for psychology. I would like to become a therapist to help those who may need guidance or a better understanding of themselves.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My friends and family.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

My family that has supported me along the way. My friends for getting me through the tough and dreary parts of college. My tutors for helping me understand what I may not have and for giving me confidence in my writing skills. And everyone else that had helped me along the way.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

It is really diverse in the courses that I can take and that it can allow me to go to UConn for psychology.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

Enjoying meeting and making new friends. Student lounge allowed for many good, funny, and strange conversations to take place with no judgement from the other students around. Sometimes, they would even join in. It also helped me step out of my comfort zone a little and be more of myself in public as well as be more sociable.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

SIGMA since I started. I really started to attend meetings my second semester as my schedule allowed. I did go to a few Anime Club meetings when I was able to my first semester. I helped out with the Valentines and Self-Care Day events my second year.

I plan to use my degree to:

Progress in my goal of getting my PsyD. It will help me become one step closer to being a therapist.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Going to UConn to get my Bachelor's Degree.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

Meeting and making friends. Also, going to meet up with my friends when we had free time in between classes.
