I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.

Yes

I wanted to earn my degree because:

A solid, challenging foundation for my education as well as a spring board into my career and love for STEM.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My greatest supporters were my family. My parents backing me and pushing me to do and be my best. Also, my advisor Michael Gentry who has given me countless advice and insight that helped light my way.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

All of my professors past and present. From all the words of encouragement, hours of deep conversation and guidance that helped shape my mindset to allow me to achieve my goals.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

The challenge and reward of my degree program, the blend of lecture and multiple lab-heavy courses and direct, real world application.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

What I enjoyed most was the community. I have made great friends from all walks of life. That is one of the great advantages of Three Rivers.

I plan to use my degree to:

My degree is my foundation, as well as a launching point for my future education and career. I am nearly done with my second associates due to the rigorous course load of my degree. I am also able to use my degree alone to start a career in STEM.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

I am looking forward to my future and being able to continue my education part-time and fully step into the world of STEM.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

The rewarding atmosphere. The many hours spent in the library putting in the time to achieve what I now accomplished.
