I wanted to earn my degree because:

It is important to me to have the credentials and opportunity of a successful career, and the ability to take care of my family should the need arise. I also feel that getting a degree in any area is an excellent proof of perseverance and hard work; something anyone can respect.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family, obviously. They all helped me out where they could. My mom would give me advice about everything, my dad would support me and help me make good decisions, and my brothers helped me cope when I was stressed. And last but not least, my amazing boyfriend. He has been so supportive and loving, and was even able to help tutor me in some of my classes! I feel so very lucky to have so many awesome people around me.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

All the students in the middle college; you guys are so fun and smart! Thanks for making college more bearable for me. 😉

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

The thing I like best about my degree program is that it is a more orderly degree. It is also something that comes naturally to me. I am great at staying organized, and solving problems.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

The diversity. There are so many different people with so many different stories; about why they are here, what degree they are getting, it made me really happy to think that there were so many people with different backgrounds in one place.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

The Alpha and Omega club! That group helped me get through one of the roughest patches of my life.

I plan to use my degree to:

I am going to be transferring to Eastern Connecticut State University to continue my education. After I get my bachelors, who knows? We will see where this crazy train ride of a life takes me.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Having a degree! Being able to say that I challenged myself and won!

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

My awesome professors and fellow students.
