Nursing, A.S.

Current Residence :

Mystic

Degree/Certificate:

Nursing, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2020

I wanted to earn my degree because:

The world needs more empathy, compassion, and kindness. In being a nurse, I will have opportunities to extend this to patients all the time.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents, Chris, and my kids Joe & Tom: it was a wild ride, but you took it with me, lifted me up, and I couldn't have done it without you. Mom & Dad - I promise to always take care of you as much as you've taken care of me.

Teri Walsh & Linda Moscaritolo: You rooted for me even when I couldn't root for myself. I vow to go forward in nursing with that kind of grace and support for all those who need it, like I did.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

Kelsi, Mara, Kate, & Noelle: The greatest friends I never knew I would meet. You will all be the most amazing nurses
Windham ladies and HouseParty of 6: Thanks for making 4th semester the actual best.
Liza, Lisa, Kristi, Alyssa, Laura, Erin (and your spouses): You didn't always understand why I was so stressed, but you always made me feel better. I am truly blessed to have you all in my corner.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

TRCC made it easy for me to maintain life at home and be so successful in nursing school. I am truly grateful for all the faculty that understand the extenuating circumstances that can come with being an adult learner who has a family and children.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

Vice President of TRCC May 2020 Nursing Class
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

I plan to use my degree to:

Effect change in the population of patients I work with by educating and always being an advocate for my patients
