Corey is the kid who I aspire to be one day. When it comes to working hard, he is the forefront leader. He has taught he many things in my life and one of the greatest ones is how to be focused. Corey has been my big brother but also my tutor for many years. He has a way with understanding how someone learns and being able to teach them to think differently. Corey can accomplish any task you set infront of him because he has the intellect and determination to get it done ever time. I know for a fact Corey will always succeed in life because his biggest hero and also challenge is himself. He is always trying to be better than himself and that will take him very far in life.

Degree/Certificate:

Nuclear Engineering Technology, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2020

I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.

Yes

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents and brother Trystan. Through every step they were there to help me towards my goals and where I wanted my life to go.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

The professors of the nuclear program. In particular, Sherrard, Abel, Amarello, and Riley.
Also Professor Dahlen from my electrical course.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

I love the fact that I've finally found the degree that clicks with me. Until I found nuclear engineering, I couldn't see the direction I wanted my life to go. Now I have.

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan to work in nuclear energy while also continuing on to gain a four-year degree.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

I am most looking forward to the doors that have opened up to me. I now have a certification saying I know what I'm doing. I'll be able to work where I want and do the things that I find most interesting.
