    Cassie,
I am so so so unbelievably proud of you and all that you have accomplished. You are a warrior, you are smart, and you are just a genuinely wonderful individual. You are going to make an exceptional nurse and any place you go will be lucky to have you. Don’t be a stranger. 🙂

Degree/Certificate:

Nursing, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2021

I wanted to earn my degree because:

I have always dreamed of becoming a nurse.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My parents, who help care for my 5 year old son, so that I could go back to school. I would not have been able to do this without them.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

My son, Zayne, who inspires me every day to reach my goals.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

The one-on-one interactions with compassionate instructors.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

Involvements in clubs and community service

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

Class president
SNA board member, Liaison
PTK member
Equity advocate: spread awareness through my nursing program to advance health equity teaching, organized health equity guest speaker, and joined Equity and Diversity team to push for system wide change.

I plan to use my degree to:

My RN is a major stepping stone on my journey to Nurse Practitioner. My goal is to work with underserved populations to provide equitable healthcare and community advocacy.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

My career as a nurse!

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

My incredible instructors, mentors, and fellow Equity and Diversity advocates.
