Nursing, A.S.

Current Residence :

Danielson

Degree/Certificate:

Nursing, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2020

I wanted to earn my degree because:

Earning my nursing degree enables me to help others, not only by treating their physical injuries or illnesses, but also through promoting the person's emotional well-being. I want to make a difference in the lives of my patients and their families.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My husband Ron, my daughters Marissa and Melanie, my parents Dennis and Helene, my grandson Jason, and my cousins Teresa and Krissy were always there to provide me with the emotional support I desperately needed throughout my nursing school journey.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

To those amazing friends, classmates and instructors who were always there whenever I began to falter and started to doubt myself. You never failed to remind me that I could do this. I will forever be grateful to you all!

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to earn my nursing degree through Three Rivers. The nursing faculty have prepared me so well academically, as well as with personal growth, that I feel more than ready to enter the field of nursing.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

Having nursing instructors who are more than willing to give greater than 100% to ensure that their students reach their full potential. This is not only done in the academic sense, but also through listening and giving emotional support.

I plan to use my degree to:

To be the best nurse that I can possibly be in whichever direction life leads me.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Reading non-nursing related books, never filling out another CLEW, and catching up and spending time with family and friends.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

The comraderie amongst my classmates and guidance from the instructors.
