So proud of you. You are a true inspiration. I watched your hard work, commitment , and determination and you never gave up. To me that shows just how much you wanted to be a nurse and that means a lot in our profession. Wishing you all the best always. I really enjoyed being your instructor. Congratulation!!

Nursing, A.S.

Current Residence :

Groton

Degree/Certificate:

Nursing, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2020

I wanted to earn my degree because:

When I was 14, my Dad passed away and his nurses inspired me to become a nurse. They made the most challenging time in mine and my family's life a little more bearable. From that moment, I knew it was meant for me to become a nurse and make my Dad proud.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My family, friends and co-workers.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

My best friend Alyssa, for being by my side through all the long study sessions, cry fest, good times, and bad times. I would have never been able to get through Nursing school without you from day one.
My sisters, brothers and Mom for always believing in me and supporting me throughout school and my Navy career. I would not have stayed sane without all the FaceTime calls and reminding me why I was doing what I am.
The Security Department at SUBASE NLON for allowing me to pursue and complete my Nursing degree while being active duty and continuously support my future career.
The rest of my best friends far and near who helped me study and have a social life while in Nursing school.
My niece and nephews for giving me the motivation to make them proud. They always had a smiling face and were so happy to see me and I couldn’t wait to make them proud and tell them that Aunt Ashley finally did it and is now a nurse.
Lastly, my guardian angel for watching over me, my Dad.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

All the professors and instructors were extremely supportive and believed in me even through the bad times. They were always willing to help me get through whatever the circumstance I was going through.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

It was a small school and you always seen familiar faces throughout the school.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

Student Nurses Association

I plan to use my degree to:

Work as a Registered Nurse, hopefully in the Emergency Room and eventually become a traveling nurse.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Practicing in my field and doing what I love.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

Going to Chick-fil-A on my lunch breaks.
