Early Childhood Education, A.S.

Current Residence :

Ledyard, CT

Degree/Certificate:

Early Childhood Education, A.S.

Year of Graduation:

2022

I wanted to earn my degree because:

I value the joy of childhood firsts; it is an opportunity to watch children grow and develop into confident self-sufficient learners. You make an impact, no matter how small.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

Shelia Skahan, my grandparents, and my boyfriend.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

Shelia Skahan, for encouraging me to continue even when I wanted to quit and felt like I couldn’t make it.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

A degree in Early Childhood Education allows you make a difference in a child’s life. Your impact and efforts will never be forgotten.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

The relationships I’ve built with my peers, and the hands on experience I have gained in the field.

I plan to use my degree to:

Become a preschool teacher.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Having a break to enjoy life without homework!
