I am the first in my family to earn a college degree.

Yes

I wanted to earn my degree because:

I wanted to further my education and use my many skills in any job I perform. I also wanted to prove to myself that you can attend college at any age and succeed.

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were: my family, friends, my cats, co-workers, church family, my advisor Betti Gladue, and many of Three River's professors.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

I like to give a shout out to my third oldest niece who helped me get through my hardest course of all, U.S. History. Thank you for all your support and encouragement. I couldn't have done it without you.
To my advisor Betti Gladue, for leading me in the right direction as well as supporting my efforts.
To my accounting professor Edwin Muenzner who took the time, no matter how long it was, in helping students to understand the topic at hand and the many different ways you explained the subject so all students understood and could succeed.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

My business degree program will help me in every aspect of life, including work, which has taught me character building and critical thinking, which is essential for life.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

During my college life at Three Rivers Community College I met many students and professors of various cultures. Working in study groups helped me see the various ways people think about ideas. My professors made learning educational and exciting!

I plan to use my degree to:

I plan to use my degree to help guide me with my career and everyday life, as well as to provide aid to the people around me. I also plan to use my degree to help benefit society.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

Moving forward in my career and life. I look forward in facing the numerous challenges that may come my way.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

I will miss the many professors that helped me enjoy learning and pushing me to better prepare myself professionally as well as encouraging personal growth.
I will also miss interacting with the many students I got to know while earning our degrees.
I attended Three Rivers at a later age and I found that several of the courses were very difficult. In being honest, I will miss the many aspects of attending Three Rives. With that said, I will still be able to enjoy hearing about them as my younger niece will continue the Three Rivers lineage.
Lastly, I would like to say thank you Three Rivers Community College for being a part of making me a better person and guiding me to become a success!
