Louis Delgado receives degree

Three Rivers Community College is pleased to announce that its 54th commencement will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 5:00 p.m. Approximately 560 students will be awarded degrees and certificates.

The valedictorian of the class is Michelle Reynolds of Ledyard who is receiving an associate in science degree in Graphic Arts.  Reynolds will present the student address, and one Medallion for Academic Excellence will be awarded. William Stanley, Vice President of Development and Community Relations for L+M Hospital/Yale New Haven Health, will receive an honorary degree, and Lottie B. Scott, author and community activist, will receive the Distinguished Community Service Award.

Frederick-Douglass Knowles II, Poet Laureate of Hartford as well as an Associate Professor of English at Three Rivers, will be the keynote speaker. Additional speakers will include Mary Ellen Jukoski, President of Three Rivers Community College; Michael Carta, Associate Professor of Chemistry and Chair of the Faculty Senate; and Valedictorian Michelle Reynolds.

The commencement will be held on the campus green at 574 New London Turnpike in Norwich. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors. For more details on the commencement ceremony, click here.
