Join us for the fifth annual InFusion: Where Literary Traditions Traverse featuring Hartford Poet Laureate Frederick-Douglass Knowles and The Jeff Robinson Jazz Trio. They will read and perform at Expressiones Cultural Center in New London on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. This free event is presented by Three Rivers Community College Community Involvement & Support Committee, Three Rivers College Foundation, and Expressiones Cultural Center.

InFusion is a literary/performing art series that blends the creative works of literature and various artistic mediums, such as the visual and musical arts. The annual reading/performance features a distinguished artist from each genre and opens with a social from 7:00-7:30 p.m. Each artist then performs for half an hour, and the evening concludes with a question and answer period from 8:30-9:00 p.m.

Frederick-Douglass Knowles II is a poet, educator and activist involved in community education. He is the inaugural Poet Laureate for the City of Hartford. His collection of poetry, BlackRoseCity was featured at the 2018 Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP).
