Your assigned student ID number and Community College e-mail address are noted on your acceptance letter. You will need this information to establish your myCommNet and student e-mail accounts. It is imperative that you set up both accounts to receive important information regarding your progress.
Set up your myCommNet and Student Office 365 E-mail account.
You will need your initial Net ID and Password to establish your account. Your initial Net ID and Password format is available at myCommNet.
Username: Student ID (without the “@”)
Example: A student with a BannerID of @87654321, will have the following NetID:
- 1st three characters of birth month (with first letter capitalized)
- Ampersand character – &
- Last 4 digits of Social Security Number
So, for a user with a birth date on 10/24/79 and a social security number of 123-45-6789, then the initial password would be: Oct&6789
You are encouraged to complete the online free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using the TRCC school code “009765”. The first step is to create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID. Your FSA ID is made up of your user name and password and is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information. After completing your FSA ID, you can complete the financial aid application at: www.fafsa.ed.gov.
Important information about your financial aid will be sent to your student e-mail and myCommNet accounts.*

Proof of High School Completion
Submit one of the following to the Admissions Office: copy of your high school transcript with graduation date, high school diploma, GED certificate or State High School Equivalency diploma.
High School Transcript – if within the last 5 years (2015 -2019).
Submit two doses of Measles/Mumps/Rubella/Varicella (MMRV) Immunizations to the Admissions Office. Depending on your date of birth, these requirements may vary. For more information refer to the State Immunization Form.
SAT and/or ACT Scores – if available and within the last 5 years (2015-2019).
Support is available to accommodate students’ different abilities. Submission of a confidential disabilities disclosure form and appropriate documentation will start the eligibility process.
Submit Immunizations and Proof of HS Completion documents by mail, fax, email or in-person.

Unofficial College or University Transcripts
Prior College or University Students who have successfully completed math and/or English (English from a U.S. college or university) credits may be waived from taking the computerized placement test. To be waived an unofficial transcript with prior coursework must be presented to the academic advisor at the time of registration.
If you haven taken the Accuplacer computerized placement test for English and/or math at any Connecticut community college you may not need to take it again.
If you are not eligible for a placement test waiver, you may schedule your Accuplacer Placement Test at: www.timecenter.com/trcc

SAT and/or ACT scores: if you took these tests, your scores will be included for placement consideration. Please submit a copy of your scores to the Admissions Office.
Note: Students who have taken the SAT within the past 5 years may be waived from the English portion of the Accuplacer placement test if the following test scores are met:
Test date prior to March 2016:
Critical Reading OR Writing Section Score: 450 or higher
Test date March 2016 or later:
Reading Test Score: 25 or higher
Writing & Language Test Score: 26 or higher
If you have taken the SAT in the last 5 years and you meet the minimum score requirement above, please indicate “math only” when scheduling your test.

Fall 2020- Fees are expected at the time of registration, total tuition owed is payable by Thursday, August 6, 2020.
Summer 2020 – Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.
An official financial aid award can be applied as payment. Payment plans are available for students registering for 6 or more credits.
