SNAP-Employment and Training Scholarships

Where Learning Works!

SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) is a work program designed to help SNAP recipients gain skills that will increase self-sufficiency through short-term vocational programs. The goal of this program is employment.

If you are receiving SNAP benefits in Connecticut, and you are not receiving financial assistance from the Temporary Family Assistance (TFA) program, you may be eligible* to receive funding for job training in one of our many Workforce and Community Education programs. Our SNAP Coordinator can determine your eligibility and help you select a program that meets your needs and interests.

*Additional eligibility requirements can be found here on our SNAP Program Fact Sheet.

2022-2023 SNAP E&T programs at Three Rivers: Central Sterile Processing Technician, Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA), Dental Assistant, Electrocardiogram Technician (ECG), Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomist, Veterinary Assistant.

Be advised that there are limited seats available for this program. You must complete the application process with the SNAP Coordinator, meet all course pre-requisites, and submit all required documentation before you can be added to any waiting list.
