I wanted to earn my degree because:

I want to continue pursuing my career in Early Childhood Education to help shape children's minds and help them learn and grow. I also want to achieve a higher education so I can help create a brighter future! My degree is a reward for my hard work and dedication!

While earning my degree, my greatest supporters were:

My mother, Jennifer Waters, who supported me through my academic career since kindergarten and encouraged me to pursue a higher education and supported me every step of the way.
CASTLE Preschool Director Lindsay Therian and to all of my co-workers who mentored me throughout my years in college and supported me through student teaching and my professional development.

I’d like to give a shout out to:

My professors, Professor Sheila and Dr. Nally, who prepared me to become an effective early educator.

What I like best about my degree program and what it means to me is:

My degree program allowed me to have experience working in a real classroom which helped me gain more experience in my field of study. I am excited to continue my career as a pre-kindergarten teacher and continue to influence, help, and teach my current and future students.

What I enjoyed most about my experience at Three Rivers Community College was:

Getting to know my classmates and developing new friendships. I also enjoyed having my college professors who were kind and supportive throughout my degree program. I also enjoyed being a member of the Phi-Theta-Kappa Honor Society.

Clubs, volunteer work, organizations that I participated in while at Three Rivers included:

I was a Phi-Theta Kappa (Alpha Mu-Gamma Chapter) Honor Society Member.

I plan to use my degree to:

Pursue a career as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher.

Now that I have completed college, I’m most looking forward to:

I am looking forward to all of the fun I am going to have with my students working as a more qualified and experienced pre-kindergarten teacher. I am also looking forward to having more free time this summer to spend with my dogs.

What I’ll miss most about Three Rivers is:

I will miss being able to utilize online courses and create flexible schedules. I will also miss my classmates and professors I had the chance to get to know during my college experience!
