This event, which celebrates and explores women in leadership, will feature a panel on the underlying reasons that the Women’s March resonated with millions, and will honor women from Three Rivers and the community with achievement awards. The event is free and open to the public and is hosted by the ConnCAS Program of TRCC, Sankofa Education and Leadership, Inc., TRCC Title IX Office of Diversity, TRCC Equity and Diversity Committee, the TRCC Social Justice Club, and the TRCC Active Minds Club.

The evening begins by recognizing thirteen women leaders in our community, including Dr. Mary Ellen Jukoski, President of Three Rivers Community College, local business owners, students from the College, and more.  See the full list below.

After the award ceremony, panelists will discuss the obstacles women face as they strive to attain elevated positions in politics, business and higher education, as well as explore strategies and solutions that will help us a society move forward.

Panelists include Laurelle Texidor, Director of the Science and Technology Magnet High School; Deirdre Sebastian, ConnCAS Counselor at TRCC; Bridney Casillas, TRCC student; Arieanna Ramos, TRCC student; and Lee-Ann Gomes, Norwich Human Resources.
