Welcome to the Nursing and Allied Health Department!

Are you passionate about helping people and communities achieve their highest possible level of health and wellness in a variety of settings? If so, then you’re an ideal candidate for an education and career in nursing and allied health. We’d like to talk to you.

We offer degree programs in Nursing and the related area of Allied Health which includes Exercise Science, Sports and Leisure Management, and a seamless transfer to University of New Haven’s B.S. Dental Hygiene program if graduating with a TRCC certificate or A.S. in General Studies. These academic degree programs offer graduates the opportunity to advance their education in their respective fields.

Nursing

Our Nursing program is highly competitive. Its outstanding results are credited to the great relationships developed between students and faculty. Graduates’ scores on the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) are consistently above the national average and our graduates report a 100% job placement on the last three graduate surveys.

We are proud to say that the graduates of the nursing program are well-respected individuals in the community and are truly positioned to “give back” as they practice as Registered Nurses. Graduates are also offered opportunities to advance their nursing education through various partnerships.

The nursing program at Three Rivers is nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. and state approved through the Connecticut State Board of Examiners for Nursing with the consent of the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
